Our local Chapter, Ohio Buckeye, offers local solid waste professionals with opportunities to keep up on the latest industry trends and practices through training events throughout the year in Ohio. Many of these events also provide the opportunity to earn Continuing Education Units to support renewal of SWANA certifications.

Below is the training schedule for CY 2020. Please contact us info@swanaohio.org if you would like to see additions in the training schedule. All suggestions will be brought forward to the Training Committee for consideration. Please continue to monitor our website for additions and changes.

  • Manager of Landfill Operations (MOLO)
Training will be held at Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc located at 250 W Old Wilson Bridge Rd #250, Worthington, OH 43085. This course is 3 days of instruction from 8am to 5pm, March 3, 4, and 5th.  Course cost is $649 for  SWANA members and $849 for non-members. Cost does not include certification test. Registrants interested in certification will need to register for the online certification at an additional cost. 
A room block is not reserved. There are several hotels in the area for your choice lodging. We recommend you book your room early as their are other events in the Columbus area during this same time.
  • Managing Integrated Solid Waste Management Systems
    • No training currently scheduled
  • Zero Waste Principles & Practices
    • REGISTRATION CLOSED
    • Ohio Training dates March 3-5th, 2020
